{"id":263,"date":"2019-03-25T08:00:38","date_gmt":"2019-03-25T08:00:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.industryinform.com\/?p=263"},"modified":"2019-03-20T15:29:56","modified_gmt":"2019-03-20T15:29:56","slug":"new-research-into-co2-emissions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.industryinform.com\/?p=263","title":{"rendered":"New Research into CO2 Emissions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Because of concerns about global warming, scientists have been working to develop ways to capture, store and use the carbon\u00a0dioxide that fossil\u00a0fuel industries emit during energy production.<\/p>\n<p>A Washington State University research team\u00a0developed a way to create hollow, nanorod\u2011shaped porous materials made of cobalt metal ions and organic molecules to separate the carbon\u00a0dioxide in a way that works under real\u2011life conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Carbon capture systems have to be able to selectively grab carbon\u00a0dioxide out of the exhaust gases under the dynamic conditions that exist in a power plant.
