With margin pressure mounting on commoditized categories, digital (and physical) transformation will be essential to the food marketplace. Grocers need to create platforms that enable multi-sided networks, supplier collaboration, and integrated services to capture revenue outside traditional categories of goods.<\/p>\n<p>By 2050, global protein demand will increase by 80 percent over today\u2019s levels, and traditional advancements won\u2019t be up to the yield challenge.
